If you vote for a Republican candidate, you are voting for someone affiliated with a party that:
- Seeks to undo marriage equality for “natural marriage”
- Describes transgender folks as subscribing to an “ideology alien to America’s history and traditions”
- Defends merchants who deny service to LBQT+ individuals
- Normalizes conversion therapy as “proper medical treatment”
- Believes Planned Parenthood only provides abortion services instead of healthcare for women
- Would undo Roe v. Wade
- Supports voter discrimination laws, including laws requiring photo ID to vote
- “Encourages” state legislatures to make the Bible required literature for public schools
- Rejects any measure to limit public access to guns
- Calls pornography a “public health crisis”
Unless you are willing to say that none of these policies are morally wrong, there is a clear binary of good vs. evil in this election, and the elections to come. The Republican Party is absolutely, inexcusably, unarguably, immoral. Voting for any candidate that represents this organization of bigotry is an act of evil.
